Rustic handmade wooden coasters made in the heart of the Mojave Desert!

Each rustic coaster set is totally unique and hand-transferred, then sealed with butcher block oil for a food-safe, durable finish. All wood is sourced from either sustainable farms or fallen timber.

Every coaster set contains four distinct hand-transferred designs depicting the Joshua tree. (Yucca brevifolia) And did you know that each design is based on an actual Joshua Tree seen on my daily hikes in the Joshua Tree wilderness? No generic vector art from a stock supplier here, these are the actual trees I visit every day! You can see photos of the actual trees (ie my muses!) at sunset in the photo set above.

PLEASE NOTE: Coasters vary slightly in size because of the uniqueness of the wood they are created with, but mango coasters are roughly 3.25"-3.75" in diameter, while pine are a little smaller: closer to 3".

SOME DETAILS ABOUT THE WOOD:

MANGO: This wood is a heavier, denser wood with a lighter bark coating. The age rings are barely discernible, thus resulting in a very detailed, crisp image transfer. After sealing, they remain a lighter color in appearance than pine.

PINE: This wood is quite light, with rough, craggy bark and very dark, distinct age rings. This wood also contains quite a lot of resin, and thus results in a softer, dreamier transfer with the age rings very apparent. After sealing, it's more of an amber color and quite rustic in appearance.

SOURWOOD: This wood is also quite light like pine, but is softer and contains less visible age rings than pine. It's slightly more porous texture really soaks up the butchers block oil, which results in a somewhat darker coaster than say, the mango alternative.
